Delete your account in the app

   Step 1: Go to your Profile

   Open the Neary app and sign in. Tap the Profile icon in the bottom navigation bar.

   Step 2: Open Settings

   On your Profile screen, tap Settings.

   Step 3: Delete your account

   Scroll down, tap Delete account, and confirm. You will be signed out once the request is complete.

What happens to your data

Deleted

• Your profile: name, photos, bio, interests and other details you added
• Your location history and online status
• Your connections, chats and messages
• Your app preferences and notification settings

Kept for a limited time

• Records of purchases, such as Diamonds and subscriptions, which we are required to keep under Indian tax and accounting law
• Information needed to investigate a reported safety concern, prevent abuse or fraud, or comply with a legal request

Your profile stops being visible to other people as soon as you delete your account. Your personal data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days, and from backups on our regular backup rotation. Records we must keep by law are retained only for the period the law requires, and are then deleted.

Before you go

• Deletion is permanent. Your account, connections and chats cannot be recovered afterwards.
• Any unused Diamonds are lost when the account is deleted.
• Subscriptions bought through Google Play or the App Store are billed by the store. Cancel them in your store account settings so you are not charged again.
